- Haughton Pump Station. Water is pumped through the pipeline
from the Burdekin irrigation system and is remotely controlled from
the Douglas Water Treatment Plant. Up to 130 megalitres/day may be sought
from the Burdekin Dam.
- Ross River Dam Pump Station. Water flows under gravity from
the Ross River Dam to the Douglas Water Treatment Plant through a 10km
long, 1200mm diameter pre-stressed concrete delivery main. During periods
of high demand, the pump station is necessary to boost supply to the
Douglas Water Treatment Plant.
- Douglas Water Treatment Plant. This pump station lifts the
water produced by the Douglas Water Treatment Plant into the elevated
storage at Douglas.
