  • Haughton Pump Station. Water is pumped through the pipeline from the Burdekin irrigation system and is remotely controlled from the Douglas Water Treatment Plant. Up to 130 megalitres/day may be sought from the Burdekin Dam.
  • Ross River Dam Pump Station. Water flows under gravity from the Ross River Dam to the Douglas Water Treatment Plant through a 10km long, 1200mm diameter pre-stressed concrete delivery main. During periods of high demand, the pump station is necessary to boost supply to the Douglas Water Treatment Plant.
  • Douglas Water Treatment Plant. This pump station lifts the water produced by the Douglas Water Treatment Plant into the elevated storage at Douglas.
