Ross River Dam Upgrade
Backgrounder - Expert Panel

Professor Robin Fell, of Sydney, the Professor of Civil Engineering in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales. Recognised as a world leader in dam embankment engineering. Prof. Fell is a specialist in landslides and slope engineering, geotechnical site investigations and tailings dams.

Graeme Bell, of Cooma, one of Australia's leading practitioners in dam engineering. He is the Senior Dams Consultant for the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation (SMEC) as its Senior Dams Consultant.

Dr Rory Nathan, of Melbourne, is the Principal Hydrologist with the Catchment Management Services group of Sinclair Knight Mertz. Dr Nathan is at the forefront of extreme flood estimation internationally.

Dr David Bowles, of Utah (USA), is a Principal with RAC Engineers and Economists, a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Institute for Dam Safety Risk Management at Utah State University.
Dr Bowles is an international leader in dam risk management.
