NQ Water is managed by an independent Board headed by Chairman Ian Hamilton. Other Board members include Townsville Mayor Cr Tony Mooney, Thuringowa Mayor Cr Les Tyrell, and two council representatives Cr Toni KirkPatrick (Townsville) and Cr Brian Hewett (Thuringowa).

Overseeing the daily administration and operation of NQ Water are Chief Executive Officer Ken Diehm and Manager Engineering Services, Rob Saunders.
